CADA Conference

Please share what you learned from each of your sessions at the CADA conference. Think about how we can use what you learned in class or for the entire school. Your entry should be a well developed paragraph. 2-3 sentence per session.

Committee Update

Since you guys can not do this correctly we will waste our day tomorrow picking committees. I love wasting time!

2nd Quarter Committees

The committees will begin on Monday and end February 18th.
I will be reserving every Monday for committee to meet with me for 5 minutes during class. This Monday we will discuss what your responsibilities are for the committee. Please think of ideas and questions on your own once you sign up for your committee.

Rewrite

Everyone must look at their revision plan and set one revision goal for Content and Development or Organization.
You must submit at least one submission. I increased the number of submissions to 5. You must submit a revision by Friday, October 15th.

This week we are going to focus on defining what a leader is. Please go to MyAccess to complete the assigned essay. The final submission is due by Friday, 10/9.

Let me know if your English teacher has not given you your user name and password.

Also type up your quote from a few weeks ago and print it by Wednesday, 10/6.

Using Our Stengths

We all have things we are good at or do well. As a team, it is important that we utilize each others strength. Tell us about one of your strengths and how it will be useful in this class. Make sure you come back at the end of the week and read everyones post. We will play a game with this information. There is no length requirement, just make sure you have a COMPLETE response.

It's Time to Share

So I know things were a little hectic last week because I wasn't in the classroom on Wednesday and Thursday. Unfortunately this next week won't be much better. There is a lot going on. This next post is open for you to comment or not. A grade will not be given. But since you are here take the time to share your thoughts.
I would like to know how you are feeling about the class. What questions do you have? Answer honestly. This is important for the functioning of our class and I think the only way I will get honest feedback is if you can post anonymously. So you can choose not to use your log in.

Inspired Leadership

Leadership does not mean the same thing to everyone. Some might see leadership as standing in front of others and giving a speech. While some may think it is getting other people to do what you want. So what does leadership mean to you? Using the internet or a quote book find a quote that reflects your feelings about leadership. No two quotes can be the same. Welcome Leadership Class 2010-2011

Hey there and welcome to Leadership Outloud! I am very excited to start the school year with such a wonderful group of students. This blog will be used like a group journal. We will express our opinions, share our brilliant ideas, and post useful information.
I will make a post every week on Sunday or Monday evening. Your response must be submitted by Friday at midnight. To post a comment you must have a google account. It is free and easy to do.
In order for this blog to be useful to us and other who may stumble upon it, we must set some ground rules. This will be your first post on this blog.

I just watched this a fun game show called "One Minute to Win It." It is a game show filled with fun activities that we could use for a spirit day activity or some other challenge. You have two tasks. In this post you are going to the link below and watch 3 different events and answer these three questions.
1. Name of the game
2. Would it work as a spirit day activity?
3. Can this game be used in another way?

Your second task it to watch the game show next Sunday night. It is on channel 4 at 7pm. You only need to watch 30 minutes of the show. Let me know what you think about the games and then give me 3 ideas about how we can play this at school.

Your task is to look up the Pepsi Refresh Project and think of an idea we could do as a class or school. I am looking for BIG IDEAS. Then, post your idea and what category it would belong in.
