Using Our Stengths

We all have things we are good at or do well. As a team, it is important that we utilize each others strength. Tell us about one of your strengths and how it will be useful in this class. Make sure you come back at the end of the week and read everyones post. We will play a game with this information. There is no length requirement, just make sure you have a COMPLETE response.

  1. I am a great problem solver! When there is an event or something going on I usually have thought of all the possible problems and I am ready to handle them or if something comes up unexpectedly I am have a quick solution. I am able to act quickly and think on my feet. This is important in this class for a few reasons. 1. We always have activities going on, and my dear sweet students are not always ready with solutions for possible problems. Therefore my strength is very helpful. 2. I work with junior high kids. You never know what is going to happen with them. They always surprise me. I am always thinking on my feet.

  3. I am very optimistic. I always try my best to accomplish something. Not only do I try to accomplish it, I try to go further and beyond. Being optimistic is important in this class because being in Leadership is very stressful. For example, fundraising. When we have a fundraiser, we need to buy enough so that everything will sell out. People will stress that everything won't sell out, but I'll always believe and think about the positives.

  4. One of my strengths is my ability to be constantly open-minded to any ideas. If anyone ever has any ideas to suggest, which is quite often, I'm always receptive to their ideas and opinions. This is something that can be used in any committee, especially dance. This is because in dance, ideas are always needed to make our event successful. With all the input we get from the class, it's important to always be ready to entertain new ideas and always take any suggestions into consideration.

  5. A strength of mine is dedication. This is helpful because I will put in the time and effort to do whatever needs to be done for a certain event or project. That way, the event will be that much closer to it being perfect. An example is Sixth Grade Visits. I will put in my energy and time to make this event successful overall and fun and educational for the sixth graders. My committee and I make sure we finish doing everything (assigning parts in skits/fashion shows or tour guides, setting a date for a meeting with Mrs. Miramontes, finishing our calendar and to-do list, etc...) on time.

  6. One of my strengths that will be useful in this class is communicating. When I'm stuck or confused about something, I just don't assume, but I go up and ask a couple of students or the teacher for correct information. This helps the class so that I will not make any mistakes and the work my committee and I would be completing are perfect and exquisite.

  7. One of my strengths is I am very organized. In class we have a lot going on sometimes, so my organization skills help me keep track of all our events. Organization is also important because there is a lot that goes into a single project and if the committee is not organized, information can be lost and problems can occur.

  8. One of my strengths is to be creative. I like to create my own projects and add creativity to it. I like to think outside the box and try to figure out what kind of creativity would match what scenario. This may help the class because I will do my best to think of creative ideas for each committee. :]

  9. One of my strengths is being hard working. If I am assigned a job, I will try my best to complete it. This strength will help our class because I have the will to do jobs needed to be done.

  10. A strength of mine is being motivated. This is important to our class because without motivation, work tends to be done noneffieciently, which results in poor productivity.

  11. One of my strengths is to get things done quickly. I am able to complete my work quickly and nicely. This strength will help our class because we have many things to accomplish in very little time.

  12. A strength that I have is that I will get my jobs done neatly. If I don't do my jobs correctly and accurately, I will regret it later because of the little effort given to the assignment. This could help the class because leadership is a delicate class that without completion of work in a presentable way, it is hard for the class to continue.

  13. One of many strengths I have is being prepared. I am always ready that comes at me, and I also plan ahead of time. I have a neat and organized backpack so whenever I need to take out a paper or another item. It'll come easy out with the preparation of the organization and the work to make it organized. When you're prepared, you'll have things ready in a snap. When there are problems, preparation will allow you to fix those more efficiently and more quickly. This is how my strength can help our class: being prepared, then includes organization and efficiency. In times of hectic and chaos, which is mostly everyday, preparation is always a thing we you need to get things done better and a lot more efficient.

  14. A strength of mine is that I am very determined. This quality or skill is helpful when we need to get something done. Usually not everyone is as determined and with my strength I will get the job done. This helps by making the event successful. When I want to get something done. I will not only get it done but go pass the expectations. That is how my strength will not only help me but the leadership class.

  15. A strength I have is my ability to be so determined. I believe that a task is a task, and I won't stop at it until it is completely done and finished. I think this will contribute to Leadership because of the many jobs and tasks to come, and I think that Leadership in ITSELF is a task to be perfected, and determination is a trait that will help perfect it and finish it. Also, this is very important to Student Store Committee (Or any committee to be honest), because of the work you must put into the Store to make it organized, successful, and stocked, not to mention working.

  16. My strength is believing that everything will work out in the end. If we believe and motivate ourselves, we can then get our work done successfully. If we don't, then it will never happen. Even if the event doesn't come out successful, I'll just say, for example, "Oh, well. We'll try harder next time. :)"

  17. One of my strenghts I have is to accompilsh anything I have to do. If I'm assigned to do something i will do whatever it takes to accomplish it. This strength will be useful in class because since this is "Leadership Class" the assignments will be different from other classes so I will do whatever it takes to accomplish any task.

  18. My strength is that I'm very persistent; I believe giving up is just a waste of previous efforts. Even when things seem hopeless, I will keep on working no matter what. I know not to quit and this will help in Leadership because it means I won't stop until things turn out a success.

  19. One of my abilities is to work at my very best. If I put my mind to something, then I will make sure that I accomplish it. In this class, accomplishing something at your very best is very important because the outcome is for everyone that participates in the activities we have.

  20. One of my strengths is to be open minded. I do not just put my head in one direction. I am always willing to consider new ideas for they can lead to even better ideas.

    ReplyDelete
  21. One of my strengths is my ability to work with everyone. I will overcome all personal problems, and not let it affect the outcome of my work. I can get along with almost everyone, excepting others who don't like anyone. This is important in leadership because we will work with groups and committees throughout most of the year.

  22. One of my strengths is being neat and organized. In Leadership, this is important because if we weren't neat, everything would be messy, and look rushed and without effort. If we weren't organized, things would be hectic, and tasks would not be on time.

  23. One of my strengths is to make the best out of everything. Say if something doesn't work out well, there's always a good side to it. Like how Thomas Jefferson was asked, "How does it feel like to fail 1,000 times before making the light bulb correctly?" and he answered, " Now i know 1,000 ways to NOT build a light bulb." To me, I believe that theres always an accomplishment in a fail.

  24. Kassie, sorry to tell you, but it's not Jefferson; it's Edison...

  25. One of my strengths is getting things done quickly and good. I like to finish stuff before I forget to do it. That's why I usually don't forget about assignments or homework. If someone tells me to do something I'll do it right away! :D

    ReplyDelete
  26. One of my strengths is being kind and understanding of others' feelings. If I see someone sad or alone, I'll go up to them and ask them, "What's wrong?" or "Do you want to hang out?" If they don't want to talk or don't want to hang out, I'll leave them be because sometimes pestering people might not be the wisest choice when they are sad. On the other hand, I'll try to see them everyday to see how they're doing and if they're happier. Also, when someone needs to talk to someone, I'll always try to listen and comfort them through their troubles.

  27. my strength is to find strengths, patterns and habits in a person's character, and weaknesses so that ... well the whole purpose of this blog is actually my strengh, because i have already noticed most of the strengths that people have posted,so...also i have noticed that some people have multiple strenghs so all in all, i think my strength is, simply put, observant and analystic(is that even a word?)

  28. I am a pro when it comes to organizing!!!!
Decorating and cleaning are the things that I do when i get bored. It's nice to see :). But not only that, it motivates you to do more works.

  29. One of my strengths is finishing things as soon as I can. I try not to procrastinate because I try to avoid all the stress that might hurt me at the end. I know my strength will help the class because Leadership is ALWAYS busy, and will always need to get certain things done. My ability to get things done as soon as possible will help the class run smoothly.

  30. One of my biggest strengths is getting things done fast and to not procrastinate. I will try hard to get the objective or plan done before the event comes. I do this because when the event comes around I don't need to be worried and stressed. I think this is very important in leadership because we need to get things done very quick and in an organized way.

  31. my strength is to be very helpful to others..i think working is a fun thing to do. i am always willing to volunteer when teachers need help.

    ReplyDelete
  32. One of my strengths is creativity. I love thinking of new fun ideas and using my imagination. My creativity can help in leadership because we plan so many fun events and I'd be more than willing to share my great ideas. Also my creativity can help make activities fun x100 for everyone!!!!!!!!

  33. One of my strenghths is that i dont give up. I want to fulfill my goal no matter how hard it is. This can help in leadership because, if we have a problem I wont give up till we find a solution.

    ReplyDelete
  34. One of my strengths is that when I set my mind to something, I don't rest until I get it done. I'm always determined and never give up until my work is done and fully accurate. If I am giving a responsibility in this class, I will not let anyone down and complete my work.

    ReplyDelete
  35. One of my strengths is that I'm always looking for something to do when I'm done with one job, I try to find something else to do so I don't waste time. That way, I will be able to accomplish an assignment or goal faster. It helps my class because, when planning an event for the school, we always try to get it done as soon as possible.

    ReplyDelete
  36. One of my strengths is that I'm a great listener. I listen to all of my directions and I listen to other's ideas as i would consider my own. I think that listening is definately my strongest suit.

  37. i know this is late.

Well obviously, responsibility is not my biggest strenghts. My strength, is to get whatever I have to done, and preciscely. I plan out what I have to do ahead of time, and start on it a little earlier, if possible. I don't rush on it, and I try to make it the best as possible. This can help the leadership class alot, because we always need someone in a committe to be on top of their game, and trying their best to get that job done.

My biggest strength is to be a leader. If people gave me the chance, I know i can lead others to do their best and get it done. I won't just be bossy and yell at them, I'll set an example. I will yell when necessary, though. I can tell them what to do and guide them so they know what needs to be done.
