Committees 2014-2015 School Year

Hey guys.  Here is the link to sign up for committees.  You may have signed up on the other link but that was not the correct place.
Hopefully your fellow classmates will be kind and not "steal" your spot.  But if so....so sad...to bad.

Big Event will be working on Jog-a-thon.
Community Service will be doing the canned food drive.

There is no publicity committee.  Each group is responsible for making their own posters.
Committees still need to submit requests for homeroom announcements and Matt will do those.

Red Ribbon Week Posters

Monday:  "Wear Red Day"
Tuesday:  "Shade Out Drugs":  Wear sunglasses.
Wednesday:  "A Healthy Me is Drug Free":  Wear workout clothes.
Thursday: "Drugs make you CRAZY!"  Wear costume ONLY if you bought a ticket to the dance.
Friday:  "Team Up Against Drugs":  Wear jersey.

Must wear clothes appropriate for school.  No tank tops or  short shorts.

October 21-25.

Prizes will be given to homerooms with the most participation.

Welcome Leadership 2013-2014

Welcome to Leadership Out Loud.  I will be asking you to post to this blog throughout the year.  You will receive a grade for your posts.  To make sure everyone is able to post on the site and I can see your name when you post, respond to this post with a song you think I should play during spirit days.
Rules:
1.  Can not be the same as song someone else already posted.
2.  NO SLOW SONGS.  They are not fun for Spirit Days.
3.  It has to be current.  Released in 2013.

Ask your friends, search radio station playlists, use iTunes top downloads list.  Be resourceful.

This is due by Wednesday, August 28th @ 10:00PM.

Committees

These committees begin March 4th.

Committee Responsibilities

Dance:  Spring Dance & 8^th grade dance

              7^th graders only

Spirit:  Spirit Week, Bear Team Party and CST BBQ activities. 

Student Store:  One sale a month & Final Inventory Due May 31^st

Community Service:  Penny Way & Day of the Teacher

                       * A lot of time after school

Fundraising:  Class fundraiser and BBQ fundraiser

Publicity:  Display case for April, May and June

                        Posters

Big Event:  Coordinate CST BBQ/Theme & Talent Show

                    * A lot of time after school

7^th Grade Activities:  2 Fundraisers

8^th Grade Activities:  1 Fundraiser, decide how to use the money. 

50^th Anniversary

This would be a second committee.  If you would like to be part of this committee you must be committed and have the time.  There will be no project write up.

Dance:  Winter Formal
Fundraising:  Clothing Drive, X-mas grams, v-day grams
Big Event:  Jog-a-thon/50th Anniversary Celebration
Community Service:  Canned Food Drive

The rest are same-o-thing.

Student Store I would like you to focus on B-Day grams.

You MUST choose a different committee.
You may not be in a committee with someone you have already worked with.
These committees until March 8th.

Keep in mind the dynamics of the group.  The goal is for all groups to be successful.

Yellow is reserved for leadership students from lsat year. (Crystal, Asia, Lori, Marian Benjamin, Timothy)

White is everyone else.

Orange is those who are not in the class yet.

Bake Sale Requests

Our committee would like to ask for:

-5 boxes of BROWNIE MIX

-5 boxes of CAKE MIX

-2 buckets of FROZEN COOKIE DOUGH

-3 dozen eggs

You can get 10 points extra credit for each item your bring in or 5 extra hours.   

Due Dates

Hello Everyone.  Both your college essay and your day of the teacher posters/card rough drafts are due Wednesday.  Yes I am giving you an extra day for you college essay.  I will see you tomorrow.

By the way... I hope you all has a wonderful spring break.

JOG-A-THON

I need to know which periods you would like to go to tomorrow. Please tell me ASAP.

Pump It Up

Reminder... Pump It Up in Chino, tomorrow at 12:15. If you are not on time they will not order pizza for you. Please make sure you arrange to be picked up at 2:15. I will need to get Julian home for a nap. He gets cranky. See you there.

Jog-a-thon Committee

Jog-a-thon committee members need to be at school at 7am on Monday morning. Your envelopes needed to be in the PE teachers mailboxes TODAY. I am not happy with the effort of the committee. There are other members of leadership who have done more work for the jog-a-thon than the rest of you.
